June 17, 2020 Concrete driveway Paid $8500, Cashed Checks attached January 2022 We noticed pitting happing as snow melted, I immediately called Dan A***** and he said he would come take a look when the weather got warmer, I called again in March, April, May and June and was told he would stop out. A Text was sent in June, July, August and September asking when he would be out and I attached pictures as the problem of pitting had gotten worse and was now all the way down the driveway, but no response. In September, a mutual friend got involved contacting Doug who makes the concrete, he mentioned it looked "overworked". Dan claimed this is from salt, however we don't use any salt and only hand shovel our driveway. The cars weren't even parked all the way up when it snowed. Dan then stopped out October 6th and 7th, 2022, he tried to patch some of the top area which doesn't match and was darker in color. Then returned a couple days later and proceeded to seal the entire driveway, leaving the pitted area from the middle to the bottom of the driveway as is and just sealed it. This driveway looks terrible from top to bottom with pitted areas and discolored concrete throughout. I sent him a follow up text on 10/12/22 with a picture stating this looks awful and the driveway needs to be redone correctly, he said with time the color will even out. But what about the spalling, pitted areas? We chose his company from his webpage stating his more than 30 years of experience, stating he stands behind his work giving each project the time and attention to detail. And he claims the highest level of quality workmanship with an end result that you will enjoy for many years to come. We paid a lot of money for this driveway to start crumbling after a year and a half and looks terrible, we believe the concrete was not mixed correctly or is defective material being that the sidewalk was done 2 days prior and has no issues. We want the driveway redone right, or our money back.
