Complaint: I was part of a large order over 6 months ago at work. One of my shirts had a hole on the armpit. I called and spoke with a young lady who ensured me she would fix it and give me another shirt. After hearing nothing for over 2 weeks, I called back and no one knew where my order was. I was bounced from person to person. Finally after at least a month and a half and numerous calls to Silkscreen Unlimited, my order was found. I went to pick it up and there was just one shirt. I took my shirt home and wore it to work the next day. One of my students told me that I had a hole near my armpit! I couldn't believe it! I called back and spoke with ***, who assured me they would get me a new shirt and he would call me right back. He did not. After several more weeks, I called back to see the status and *** acted surprised that it wasn't taken care of. He failed to call me back again. *** apologized and said I would get a new shirt and an extra one (at my request). I was very satisfied with that as I use this company frequently. I received a phone call this past Friday that my order was ready. I picked it up today to find only one shirt was there. When I asked ***, he told me that he was not able to get me another one with no further eexplanation.

Desired Settlement: I have gone 6 months without this work shirt. I was promised an additional shirt in a different color and I feel that is a small cost to the company considering this was not a pleasant ordering experience and I was promised one for my troubles.

This is in response to a letter Silk Screen Unlimited received from the BBB; complaint # *******. We have been a member in good standing, of the BBB for 40 years. The person placing the complaint, Ms. ****. has never been a customer of Silk Screen Unlimited. Her work shirt was part of a larger order placed by another individual, We produced the shirt size that was ordered bv Ms ****. The shirt she returned was a size small, caked with deodorant. We laundered the shirt and repaired the seam which we do not believe was a manufacturer’s defect. The replacement shirt she ordered was a size medium. She never returned the original shirt which we requested several times, to start the process. We complied with her wishes and provided a replacement shirt in size medium. In the spirit of compromise, we will ship her an additional shirt at no cost, again. If I can be of any further assistance, please feel free to call me.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID *******, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

At this point, I wish to no longer receive any correspondence from Silk Screen Unlimited.  There unprofessional business like manner will be passed onto my company.  Since I have "never been a paying customer" through the barstool open or the 10 years that I have placed orders with the company through ***** ****, I will pass this information on to my co-workers.  This has been nothing but a hassle and is not worth another T-shirt with a hole in it.  I am absolutely disgusted with the fact that my "NEWER" t-shirt also has multiple holes in the armpit.  This was obviously done intentionally.  I am not able to compete with a company that lies and turns facts around.  Of course it is easier to lie than to take responsibility and get a slap on the wrist from your boss.  *** told me there was no reason I needed to return the shirt since they had it for months, which ***** wrote I needed to return to start the process.  I believe I proved myself when I hand delivered the "small" shirt (which was of course a medium) with the "fixed hole" (which was still present). 

Being in good standing with the BBB does not mean that your company is without fault.  It also does not mean that mistakes don't happen and people are not lied to.  What it does mean is that you deal with faults in a professional manner and admit when you are wrong.  If I was not an office manager for many years, I would not even know what the BBB was.  That could be a good reason why you are still in good standing.  People just don't know to turn you in.  All in all, I hope that this company has learned a valuable lesson from this.  I am currently placing another order through my large organization (which I am personally in charge of) through another company.  Thank you for your time BBB.  Please forward this onto Silk Screen Unlimited.  No response is needed.  Thank you.
