On Jan. 28, 2022, Beers charged me $185 and did not repair the furnace. He said they did not repair Carrier Furnaces. They NEVER TOLD ME IN ADVANCE that they did not repair that make of furnace, THEY DID NOT ASK ME WHAT KIND OF FURNACE I HAD PRIOR TO COMING to my home, even though the technician had been there (a few month's prior) to replace my thermostat. [Note: I already knew what the problem was, since my brother-in-law, an electrician for the railroad had come and told me it was Code 32 error and was likely the circuit panel board. (He does not have a license to repair and suggested I call a furnace man to do the repair.) The technician said that since I had called and requested they come out, I had to pay for the emergency service call. He called it a "Diagnostic Fee" but I didn't need a diagnostic fee! I needed the panel replaced to fix my furnace! (He just said the same thing my brother-in-law had told me!) I felt intimidated and somewhat coerced into writing the check , when the technician handed me the bill that day and said I had to pay it "now."...I called Beers, and after I complained he would do nothing. I told him I was reporting him to the BBB. He said, "Go ahead, I don't care!" and hung up on me. I then had to get another furnace company (******** Plumbing and Heating) to come out and replace the circuit panel board.
