Additional Notes

Complaint: Porreco Nissan had a 2009 ****** **** on the internet for around 8200 dollars. I applied for credit on Saturday the 16th and was approved on Tuesday the 19th. **** from Finance called me that day and told me he needed a deposit of $100.00 to hold the car until our appointment on Thursday the 21st at 200 pm. I gave him my credit card number over the phone for the deposit to hold the car and it was immediately withdrawn from my account. Wednesday, Nov. 20th, I received a call from my salesman, ***** that the car was getting cleaned and detailed for me to pick up on Thursday, Nov 21 at 2pm. Later in the day Wednesday, ***** called me again and told me the car was sold to someone else. So in the meantime, I sold my only other form of transportation. As you may know, I was very angry that this happened and the way it was handled. It was very unprofessional.

Desired Settlement: Would like a similar car for the same amount as the car that was taken from me..

Business Response:

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to the above referenced complaint.

Unfortunately. Mr. ******** is correct in that two salespersons had almost

simultaneously taken deposits for the 2009 ****** **** in our inventory. Upon discovering that

the car had been delivered, Mr. ******** was contacted and his deposit has been refunded to his

credit card.

Our Sales Managers, ***** **** and ***** ***** teleconferenced Mr. ********,

apologized, and offered to provide assistance to purchase a different vehicle. Initially, Mr

******** said he didn’t want to look at any other vehicles, but then called back to see if a

comparable vehicle was available. Although we did not have another pre-owned ****** **** in

our inventory, we had a ****** ***** available.

Mr. ******** advised that his daughter drives a ***** and that he needed more room for

his tools and declined our assistance.

Our Sales Managers have Mr. ********’s name on a waiting list, should another

preowned****** ****, in the approximately $8,200 price range, be acquired into our inventory.

Sincerely,

****** *****

Corporate Secretary

Consumer Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID *******, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

This car was listed on the internet I replied and was accepted by the bank  and left a down payment and had a appointment to pick the car up also my credit card was charge for the down payment.  Mean while I sold my truck because they wanted only give me 400 dollars for it. And I took that  day off to pick the car up.I had to borrow  a vehicle to use .And was force to buy another vehicle which I didn't like as well. I also file a complaint with Attorney General office and told me it will took 4 weeks. I want some type of compensation

BBB's Final Determination: After reviewing the information provided by all parties, BBB determined that the business handled the matter appropriately, and no further action was needed.
