The BBB Business Ethics Awards recognize firms whose business practices and related activities exemplify BBB’s mission and principles to ensure our marketplace remains fair and honorable. The awards consist of an annual program to gain public recognition for businesses that maintain a solid commitment to operating ethically. Companies are selected by an independent panel of volunteer community and business leaders based on criteria established by the Council of Better Business Bureaus’ International Torch Award.
The following companies were also honored as 2014 finalists for their dedication to ethical practices:
“As the connection between company culture, employee satisfaction and ethical business practices becomes more evident, it is important for business owners to have access to industry experts such as Ann Rhoades,” added Fehling. “For this reason, we are grateful that Mrs. Rhoades shared her expertise with local companies at this year’s Business Ethics Awards.”
The program included a keynote address from People Ink’s Ann Rhoades, who shared the importance of creating an ethical and positive company culture, and its effects on business success. Television and radio personality Pat McMahon served as the master of ceremonies for the ninth year in a row, entertaining attendees with his famous wit and charm. Wells Fargo was the presenting sponsor for the 13th year in a row.
