After much anticipation, Better Business Bureau Serving Central, Northern and Western Arizona (BBB) reveals the 2013 BBB Business Ethics Awards winners during its 12th annual dinner featuring keynote speaker George Schell, Chief Marketing Counsel for the North America Group of The Coca-Cola Company.
“The winners of the 2013 Business Ethics Awards not only serve as role models within their industries and our community, they join over 55 previous winners in promoting the importance of ethical business practices in our marketplace,” said Matthew Fehling, BBB President/CEO.

The BBB Business Ethics Awards recognize firms whose business practices and related activities exemplify BBB’s mission and principles to ensure our marketplace remains fair and honorable. The awards consist of an annual program to gain public recognition for businesses that maintain a solid commitment to operating ethically. Companies are selected by an independent panel of volunteer community leaders based on criteria established by the Council of Better Business Bureaus’ International Torch Award.

“For this year’s program we invited our longstanding national partner – The Coca-Cola Company – to take part in the beginning of a new BBB century, as our organization celebrates 101 years of service this year,” added Fehling.
The program included a keynote address from Coca-Cola’s George Schell, who shared how the company collaborated with BBB to promote truthful advertising in the 1900s, and provided strategies on how to use communication to build trust in the digital age. Television and radio personality Pat McMahon served as the master of ceremonies for the eighth year in a row, entertaining 400+ attendees with his famous wit and charm. Wells Fargo was the presenting sponsor for the 12th year in a row.
