Hired Allied/Olympian (their at the time - not surprised they changed their name given the number of bad reviews all over the internet!) for a cross country move in ***** of 2022. Received a binding, full replacement value insured quote from **************, and after they had picked up my items tried to solicit me via TEXT MESSAGE for additional funds. When reported to Sirva (Allied's customer service), they confirmed that ********************** needed to file specific change paperwork with Allied to request additional funds due to weight discrepancy and communicated this to Olympian. Olympian then declined to fill out said paperwork. Smells like an under the table grift to me. Then, ****** never updated the weight in their system, even though it sat in their storage facility for two months after pickup, meaning the driver they assigned didn't have sufficient room in the truck so just left my move at the warehouse. Olympian NEVER communicated this to me. I found out after calling them from a number they did not have on file, after realizing my move "coordinator," ****** (who did not coordinate a single part of my move without ***** getting involved) was screening my calls. Also, would you like to know all about ****'s health issues and pet woes that caused her to do literally nothing to coordinate my move? I have them all in writing in case you're interested (which honestly probably took longer for her to email to me than it would have taken to do her job in the first place). My shipment arrived nearly a month late. I hired Olympian to do crating - they destroyed every item but one that I paid for them to crate. We're currently up to $4K in damages on a $12K move, and there's still items out for dispute over a year after the move, and four months into the claims process. Unprofessional doesn't begin to describe this company. Avoid at all costs unless you're really keen on working with unscrupulous, incompetent people with zero communication skills.

Gave us 2 days notice they would be showing up one day early to pack, which forced us out of the house when we were not ready and to get a hotel. They would not compensate us for this.Verbally guaranteed to deliver within 3-5 days of the front end of the delivery window but did not actually deliver until 7 days outside the 2 week window. Part of the shipment was left behind that then took 8 weeks for delivery. We were only compensated for the initial delay since the rest was considered a partial delivery. Still missing over $1000 worth of stuff.Communication was horrible throughout. They would rarely respond to phone calls once they had our stuff, our move coordinator was *** for the final 4 weeks, and we were absent any updates at all unless prompted.the only way our experience could have been worse is if they lost all of our items.

Back in November 2020 we contracted Olympian (Allied Van Lines) to move us from ******* ** to ******** **. Moving day came, Wednesday. 11/4, with delivery Friday 11/6. We were contacted and asked if we could extend the move date to Monday 11/9. The drivers mother passed away...well that the story we were told. Because we closed on the CO house prior and told new owner of ** he could take possession Friday, Olympian was willing to put our household in their storage facility and reload on Monday 11/9. Sounds simple enough. What a bad idea that was!! Received a call on Monday 11/9. Driver was a 'no show'. And every day after that for the next two weeks I heard the same excuse..."looking for a driver".In the meantime (11/6) Olylmpian/Allied had the audacity to charge our credit card for the cost of the move! Not only now did they have my money, they had my entire house! I contacted the credit card company and canceled the charge. The week of 11/6 I received a call, our furniture will be delivered 11/21 BUT because I canceled the CC I had to present a cashiers check or no delivery. Saturday 11/21 came, moving truck on time. Whoohoo! The driver, more times them once told us to relax, sit back they will do the work. As I unpacked (within 2 weeks time) I found items broken. Took pictures, jotted the items down. I even took pictures of bright pink labels placed on the damaged boxes. Because I numbered and wrote down all my boxes and what was in them I discovered boxes and a small cabinet were missing. I filled out the required form for lost/missing and/or damaged items along with the pictures to Allied. The response I received back was 'it was my responsibility to identify any missing or damaged items before the driver left'. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I had almost 200 boxes and over 500 items (in total). I can identify a bed, couch or kitchen table missing but not 3-4 BOXES! And I surely can't empty everything in one day! And the real kicker is no one from Olympian or Allied has any idea how those stickers got on the damaged boxes. Besides they don't accept photos after the move. I have filed a complaint with the BBB but they were told the same thing, I should have reported the damaged and missing items to the driver. And there was no documentation from the driver about damaged or missing items. Its frustrating that neither company is taking responsibility...especially the stickers! And this is a national company. Would not recommend either company.
