I purchased the house listed as my address on or about April 7, 2023. I entered into a written as is contract with ***************************** from Gentry Real Estate on April 3, 2023. I brought to Mr ******** attention that Id found black mold in the bathroom and believed it was in both bathrooms and in the kitchen under the sink. I refused to sign any documents unless he agreed to take care of the mold. He put in the contract he would remedy the mold within 10 days of closing. That has not happened. Hes refused to return my calls or text messages and his worker gutted the master bathroom and just left if. The moldy mirror, sink, cabinet and toilet are still sitting in the master bedroom where he left it 5 days ago. I cant move into the house like this and I have no other place to go. The mold was caused by a leak in the bathroom and the water was collecting under the dining room and living room tiles. He put it in the contract hed fix it, but took my money and did nothing.

Avoid this company unless you want to be deceived into buying a house full of mold. This company employs a real estate agent, *********************, who tricks veterans and deceives buyers. He serves a dual role as the seller's agent and house flipper for the two investors he works with. Here is the problem though. This agent is only licensed as a flooring contractor, but is doing all kinds of shoddy unlicensed contracting work on the houses he lists, despite the fact that it is against the law in ******* for contractors to do any work outside the scope of their contracting license. Unlicensed handymen are allowed to do limited repairs, but it works differently for contractors and this agent is doing all kinds of unlicensed and shoddy work. The listing for the house I bought said it was "truly remodeled from top to bottom" yet I now own a house with a kitchen full of mold, as well as endless other issues that are costing us many thousands of dollars. Gentry Real Estate wouldn't even share the seller's information with us. Pretty gross since we need the sellers to be able to file a complaint with the Registrar of contractors, seems like a huge scam on the part of both Gentry Real Estate and *********************. Oh and here's the worst part. ********************* manipulated me by pretending that he was giving me a deal, including trying to tell my buyer's agent how much to bid and saying that he wanted me to get the house because I'm a veteran and his father was a vet who had a hard time buying a home. There are a lot of scammers out there, but taking advantage of a veteran to this degree seems so heartless and destructive. I don't feel like I have much recourse and I cannot afford to remove the mold and replace the cabinets in my kitchen of my new house, so I just want to warn everyone I can, especially veterans, about the deceptive practices of this agent and company.

After reading this customer review I spoke with the agent they are speaking about and reviewed his paperwork and correspondence with this customer. The review states that there was a leak that caused the house to be full of mold. #1 The seller and the real estate agent being accused did not do any work on the plumbing of the house. #2 The buyer paid for a professional home inspector to inspect the home and no plumbing issues were found. The real estate agent was nice enough to meet this customer at the house when they said there was a leak, and they were not happy. This customer said that the angle stop under the kitchen sink was leaking so he had a plumber come out to fix it. He later got three bids to remediate mold under the 36 cabinet that the sink was in. (This was the only area, and not "a house full of mold as he stated in his complaint). He asked the real estate agent of the seller to pay for one of the bids to have the mold remediated and he did just to be nice and help him out even though no plumbing was touched during the remodel. The customers professional home inspector took a picture of the area under the sink area and the angle valve in question and there was no sign of leaking or issues as stated by the home inspector, so this most likely leaked after the customer/buyer moved into the home, maybe they hit the valve while putting items under the sink. The customer/buyer lived in the home for about 3 weeks before they discovered a leak. This customer states that they cannot make a complaint to the Registrar of Contracts without the seller. That doesnt appear to be true, but maybe they did not think his complaint was valid since no work was performed on the plumbing during the time the seller owned it. The customer may be wanting to get the seller to complain to the Registrar of Contractors, but the seller has no reason or desire to do that. The seller did say they received a letter from this customer/buyer but has no desire to reply to the baseless claims. The seller had serval contractors do work on this property, the real estate agent who has a flooring contractor license did all the flooring, some painting, and replaced some fixtures/ceiling fans (just basic stuff at the request of the seller). There are a lot of other claims from this customer about shoddy work, but he has failed to name the work and his professional home inspector didnt call out anything of that sort in the home inspection. The real estate agent for the seller that he is complaining about seems to have gone above and beyond in this transaction and his dad really is a vet and he really did feel the desire to help this customer/buyer out. Eventually, he could see that this customer/buyer was just starting to take advantage of him, for more money so he had to stop communication and the seller has requested that they do not want to communicate with him as they had nothing to do with plumbing and that the buyers home inspector showed there wasnt a problem. The agent that this customer is complaining about has had no other complaints against him and this doesnt appear to be a legitimate complaint as no plumbing was done in the home by the agent or the seller.
