This company did not provide the service that they promised and would not refund the full amount for the service call. I reported to The Appliance Repair Men a problem with my refrigerators display, noting that the appliance was operating, just the display was blank. They took my credit card and scheduled an appointment for which there would be a fee. They arrived 4 hours after the end of the scheduled window of time without contacting me. When they arrived, I was not home but a tenant was. This was insufficient as I needed to be there to ask questions, and the tenant was not prepared, nor did I want them to deal with this issue. When I set the appointment, I told the scheduler that I needed to leave one-half hour after the end of the scheduled window. As reported by the tenant, all that the repair person did was take a photo, with no other diagnostics being done. A few days later I saw that they charged me the evaluation fee, sent me a quote, and told me essentially what I told them, that the refrigerator was working but the display was not. Since in my view, they did nothing and I was not present to ask questions, I requested a refund of the fee. They refused to send me a full refund. The person on the phone was incredibly rude and insulting, accusing me of trying to get something for nothing, saying that my tenant and I were lying. When I persisted in having them allow me to speak to a supervisor, they at first said that this could not be arranged. Eventually, they did have someone that they said was a supervisor call me. However, I could tell that in fact this was not the supervisor but was the same person (using a different name) that I had spoken to before. I know this because of a distinct accent and speaking style. Also, the supervisor used the identical insulting language as the initial rude person. The Appliance Repair Men is a terrible company to do business with. I recommend all to stay away from them.
