On April 24, 2023, I was in an accident and looking for body shops to take my vehicle to for repairs. I got a USAA approved estimate for $2477.83 and took my vehicle to Coach Works for repairs. I had talked to **** and felt comfortable dropping my vehicle off for repairs and gave him the initial estimate that insurance had approved for repairs on May 17th, 2023. I was told that I could give him the initial check for repairs and agreed that insurance would be billed for any extra damage found. We then waited a week to receive a supplement of $27,390.47. We were astonished that my vehicle really needed that amount of repairs and were concerned the vehicle would total. After further examining the supplement, it came to our attention that it was extremely over written and very inflated. It was as if they saw an opportunity to milk every last ***** out of the situation, without any regard for ethical business practices or customer satisfaction. We then waited weeks for the insurance to approve the supplement. With the lack of communication from my insurance and **** threatening high prices and storage fees, we decided that we needed to pick the vehicle up. My car was being held hostage by Coach Works. My vehicle which was once drivable had been disassembled taking off 3 doors, despite damage only being on one side. My insurance company then paid Coach Works $5630.31 in storage fees. I picked up my vehicle and repairs werent completed. The audacity to cash my initial check of $2477.83, which was intended for repairs, without actually performing any substantial work on my car is astonishing. When I requested a refund, they outright refused to return the money, leaving me in a state of disbelief and financial distress.

Horrible. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Charges $225 storage fees, final **** to my vehicle deemed a total loss , was $11,377 that included $7725 in storage fees! The ***************** would not pay as both AllState and StateFarm indicated the charges were not reasonable. Bottom line, I will have to pay the difference of $6555 out of my pocket to get my car out of hawk, and I wasn't the one who was faulted in the accident.
