Why an award for marketplace trust?
This program was established to honour outstanding businesses that promote trust in our marketplace and the mission of the Better Business Bureau which is to be the leader in advancing that marketplace trust.
In this spirit, the Better Business Bureau conducts an annual awards program to gain public recognition for businesses that maintain a solid commitment to conducting their business practices in an ethical fashion. Each year, companies of different sizes are selected through a regional competition to receive the Torch Award. The Award is designed to promote not only the importance of ethical business practices, but the willingness and efforts made by outstanding businesses to ensure that our marketplace remains fair and honourable.
CONSUMERS: Nominate a company for this year’s Torch Awards
The most trustworthy and ethical businesses are often the most modest – but they deserve public recognition. The Torch Award is designed to promote not only the importance of trustworthy business practices through integrity and performance, but also the willingness and efforts made by outstanding businesses to ensure that our marketplace remains fair and honourable.
