**** ********* Clear Cut Installations Inc, South Mountain, Ontario, improperly installed screen door at my home on Oct.26, 2021. CC owner Steve C*** told me that door wasn't meant to open 90 degrees. Clear Cut had installed the same door for my neighbor & it opens and closes properly. I have complained for 4 months. Suppose to fix it after Christmas. I told him if not to my satisfaction, I wanted it removed and a full refund. He agreed (10-yr warranty.) Jan. 12, 2022, he called. He would fix my door. I specifically asked him to explain how but he wouldn't tell me. He made it worse by drilling more holes & bending the closure bracket around the door frame (screws crooked & on an angle). He left saying going to look into a longer door closure. On Jan. 20, 2022, I sent Mr. C*** another email to remove the door & provide a full refund I had found out the door hadn't been installed properly & will never open and close properly. (1) It has been built out too far from the door frame restricting how far it can open. (2) It isn't centered on the door frame. Gap down one side & gap along the top, not allowing the door to fit properly into the door frame. Jan. 28th email Mr. C*** advising he would give me a refund if I provided him with a note that CC would not be held responsible for repairing any damage created around the door frame by their installation & admitting installer made mistake & he now understands the suggested installation better (after 35yrs in business). Jan.31 another email from Mr. C*** stated “I realize you may not have been properly informed as to what went wrong. But we are convinced we can get it right for you.” I have asked him twice to explain by email the details of how he proposes to fix the problem after 4 months of not being able to (and making it worse). I no longer have any confidence in Mr. C***’s company that they can do a good job or will be honest with me. I want the door & all materials removed and a full refund of $1,231.70.
