              VIA Rail is offering a sale for 25 percent off tickets. They refer to the sale as, “Discount Tuesdays”. Purchasing tickets on Tuesday's will receive 25% off for tickets purchased on or after January 30th. The normal price of a ticket is $38. The calendar shows that the every day price for economy class is $38. On January 29th, the price is $38, on January 30th, the price shows before selecting, is also $38. When the date is selected the price suddenly is marked up to $48. The discount applied makes the price $36. In reality, it is not 25 percent off sale but it is instead 5 percent off the original price. This is a crown corporation acting on behalf of the government that is engaging in misleading and deceitful sales tactics. The sales tactics used is in direct violation of section 74.05 of the competition act. The violation of the act is is showing the price as $38 on their website and immediately marking it up when a discount is applied on the date for the start of the sale.

              VIA rail.shoud be private and let them run as business not like federal government. Otherwise, service will not improve and no consequences.
