Verbal conditions were agreed to between both parties that the stereo system had to be made functional in the home. The system still does not work.

purchase was made on the condition that it would be set up to work, instead i was handed 3 remotes and the manual and told it was all in there.
I have made many ph calls to the store, being told to try this and that and if didn't work to then bring in equipment and if that didn't work they would come out and fix it.
I have taken various parts of the equipment into the store a total of 5 times. Each time they found no problem with the equipment, and would insist that if it didn't work when I set it up at home they would come to the home and make it work.
It never happened, so I hired a professional for $125 and they got some of it working. Presently music will not play in Stereo and movies will not play in surround sound.
All they ever had to do is set it up correctly when it was delivered.

In September of 2013 Mr ***** contacted us about problems he was having with his purchase from Feb 2012. As the warranty on this product is carry in service only we attempted to do some trouble shooting over the phone with him. When we could not resolve the problem we asked Mr ***** to bring his equipment in to the shop to test it all for manufacture's defects and functionality. All the equipment was working to spec. In October 2013 we again had Mr ***** come to the store in see the units in working order. At this time the salesman (****) showed Mr ***** that the equipment was working properly and went through the set up, operation and answered any questions Mr ***** had about the equipment. The equipment was taken home by Mr *****. We were called in November and told the equipment wasn't working and that he had paid a "professional" to come in set it up and it was not working properly again. We then had **** go to Mr *****'s home at no charge in November 2013 to go over the connections and make sure everything was working. When **** left every thing was in working order and he told Mr ***** that if there were any other problems he could contact him (****) at the store. We have not heard from Mr ***** until this complaint. The equipment has been set up and left in good working order by our staff. We have done as much as we can in terms of connecting and assisting Mr ***** in the use and operation of the products he has purchased. If he still needs help we can send our staff out again to go over the connections and operations. This service would be available for a fee as it falls outside of the terms outlined for warranty coverage.

Final Business Response
The most recent letter attached to this complaint is the letter we received in October 2013 and to which we responded and offered to go to Mr *****'s home to go over the operattion of his equipment at no charge. We first had him bring in the amp so we could determine if there was something wrong with it ( the manufacture's warranty on this unit is a carry in warranty not in home service). Mr ***** brought the amp in on November 16th 2013. We had it connected and fully functional for over 1 week in the store. While it was in store we left it connected until Mr ***** could come in and review the connections and functions he had requested so we could address any issues at that time. Mr ***** took the unit home again and then contacted **** to say he was having problems still. Normally an in home service call to connect and instruct a customer on the operation of their equipment is a $120 charge but we were still offering to go out for a one time good will service call at no charge. During the phone conversation in Novemeber with his salesman, **** tried to explain the operations again and ended the conversation by saying that if there were still problems to contact him and he would come over to Mr *****'s home to go over the connections and functions. We never received a follow up call from Mr *****. In my prevoius response to this complain I again offered the in home visit. We are willing to show him how the system works but a refund of the equipment is not an option as the equipment does meet the requirements of what he requested on his initial visit to Bleeker Stereo & TV.

Again they say that they will make a house call and put the equipment in order, however in the past I have only gotten empty promises. *********************************************.

I will accept a visit at my home to set the equipment up. That is Exactly what they are contractually obliged to. Once that is done, I will accept this as a satisfactory resolution.
