*** ******** *** ********** ** ***** Tonight I was assaulted by a 76 employee. My card was rejected due to the changes that recently occurred, and the fact that we made an automated payment that was rejected. Apparently we had to mail in our payment and we were not aware of the change. My card was denied and I was not allowed to use my credit card. I was told to go into the store ATM to get cash. I was frustrated and in a hurry and exclaimed that it was bullshit that I couldn't use my credit card. This was not directed at the attendant. It was my frustration at the situation. I tried calling member services to see if I could resolve the issue. I was placed on hold. In the meantime I called my wife and she told me that she just resolved the issue but I should get cash because it won't clear right away. I got out to go to the ATM. The attendant approached me and I was beginning to explain the situation and he said, "You gave me a lot of attitude back there." I told him that I didn't give him attitude, that I was upset that my card was rejected and I had to go in and get cash. He said, "You did give me attitude." and then he got into my face and said "You want to go? We can go right here." To begin with, the situation was frustrating and as a customer I do not expect to be physically threatened because I say that the situation is bullshit. He may not like the fact that I'm frustrated, but that doesn't give him permission to physically threaten me. He then raised his voice and said, "Go on and get cash from the ATM so you can get on out of here." I will not be shopping at this 76 station again. I spend approximately 500 a month at that station and I will not shop at a station where I am physically threatened and challenged to fight. IMy wife and I have been customers since 1993 and we are looking at changing gas stations.
