Problems with Product/Service

Complaint: My wife and daughter stayed at the hotel last Friday and were offered two rooms (104 & 114). One had no working bath or shower and the other stunk of cat pee. My wife believed the cleaning staff knew about the cat pee smell as the window was wide open (it was November). After getting the second room and complaining yet again, the clerk told them that it's one or the other; cat pee or bath. That was their choice. And this for $99 a night. If it wasn't for the fact that they got there late at night and most other hotels were booked, they would have left. But the clerk apparently knew they were trapped. They ended up choosing the cat pee room and blasting the heat all night. The hotel could have done the minimum to ensure their stay was adequate (allow them to bathe in the stinky room and let them sleep in the other). Instead, they chose to reinforce their substandard service. I've complained to their parent company Wyndham, along with post this experience on several social sites.
Desired Settlement: I would prefer a refund as Super 8 didn't even meet the minimum threshold of heat, cleanliness and safety. They should never have had rooms with open windows or broken bathes in their inventory.
