Complaint: I rented a car from this place and returned it on March 23,2014. At the time of return, the agent did a walk around with me, cleared verbally with me that there were no damages, checked the gas/mileage, cleared gas/mileage were also fine because we prepaid, and then gave us a receipt. Weeks after this, I received what seemed like a fraudulent letter from an unknown company stating that there was a claim against me. I called the company, and they said there was claim against me from National Car Rental and said the car I rented had damages upon return. I called National Car Rental in Portland, OR, the location where I rented the car, asked about this claim and they said there was nothing they could do at this point and that I had to deal with the claim agency. Then, I disputed the claims with the agency and they said they'd investigate and get back to me. Weeks later, I receive a letter in the mail with an invoice for the damages being claimed and photos of the damages! This company is trying to pull a scam on me! At the time of return, there was an agent that even did a walk around with me and there were no damages on that car when I returned it and now weeks later they are trying to file a claim against me?? Ridiculous! What a bunch of lies and scams from this company! I have witnesses that were with me at the time of return, that can verify that car rental agent did a walk around with me at the time of return and stated there were no damages at the time of return and provided a receipt to me. I've rented several cars in my lifetime and I have a clean driving record! There's no way I damaged this vehicle in any way during the rental period and I find these accusations to be highly insulting and ridiculous!
