Additional Notes

Complaint: My Father took our Toshiba laptop to Mr. ***** ****** last October and he promised us that it will be a quick repair. His diagnosis was that the laptop's screen needed replacement so we paid $200 for the new screen that he ordered plus $80 for his services. We took it home but a week later the original problem (black screen) came back. We went back to Mr. ****** and he said it must be a hardware thing. So we paid him $188 again and left our laptop at him in last December and that was the last time we saw it. We called him every week to follow up with him but every time we called he said he needed some time for the diagnosis. Finally, the last weekend of April 2014 came and he called us that the laptop was stolen. My issue here is that we paid him almost $500 for his "services" and he does not want to refund neither that price nor the original price of our laptop ($500). What can we do now?

Desired Settlement: We would like a refund of $500 for the price of our computer and the deposit of our last transaction.

BBB's Final Determination: Business failed to respond to the BBB to resolve or address the complaint issues.
