Complaint: Defective cartridge installed in our Master Shower On Sept. 8, 2014 two plumbers came to my home to replace a cartridge in the Master Shower because of a leak in the shower head. They also replaced some piping on two toilets while they were there. After the cartridge was replaced in the master shower the pipe started vibrating against the drywall every time the water was turned on in the bathroom. I called the plumbers back to come back out to evaluate and instead of rechecking the cartridge they said it was a water hammer and they wanted to fix it to the tune of an excess $550 + (pressure release valve). Since my house is only a year old I wanted to get a second opinion and called in another plumber. He replaced the cartridge that the plumbers from Herman installed and the knocking stopped. The cartridge Herman's installed was not the right one (suspect that it was not a Delta). I have talked to ***** at Herman's plumbing, sent him the invoice and detailed explanation of what had to be done to stop the vibration. I have asked for a refund from ***** at Herman's on the defective cartridge and labor. At this time, nothing has been resolved.

Desired Settlement: refund for the price of the cartridge and labor

Business Response: Initial Business Response /* (1000, 9, 2014/11/06) */ Complaint was made on October 17th, which is the same day that she made arrangements to meet for the refund of the other plumbers charges. Communication was made daily via email or by phone with the customer until final resolution was resolved. Numerous times were offered to the customer to meet with the refund and a date was set for the 22nd of October. A Check was hand delivered by our service manager and issued to the customer for the full refund. Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 11, 2014/11/06) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) Communication was NOT made daily by the Plumbing Company. We did receive a refund from the company for the cartridge and labor, but I would still not do business with them again because of the way everything was handled.
