Business' Initial Response Contact Name and Title: ******* *********, Owner Contact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXX Contact Email: *****@bugzappersok.net I am the owner of Bug Zappers and am disappointed that I have not heard of this situation before receiving a complaint through the BBB. At Bug Zappers we strive to provide state of the art, informative and professional results to our customer. Since the start of Bug Zappers, we have NEVER had a complaint filed as we have always taken care of any questions and concerns in a professional manner. After reading this complaint let me address the complaint in steps: The steps we use to treat scorpions is through applying a spray chemical and dust under the structure. All I can do without escorting our technicians on every job is to verify their time on our GPS. If the job's time is askew, that is a red flag to determine if they didn't do it correctly. This GPS was confirmed to have provided the service as is required. NOTHING provided by pest control companies last a year. There was obviously a misunderstanding about this. The labels state 90 days in laboratory conditions and Oklahoma is far from that. Sprays last about 30 days best case. Dust may last 90 to 180 days. Under a mobile home exposed to water and wind, may be less. As far as cowering, our technicians have been bit on numerous occasions and ALL owners claim they are not harmful. We found they aren't always right. Our dusters only need a hole about 1/4 inch to apply dust. That is one of our state of the art machines. Just because you don't see it doesn't mean it wasn't done. As far as speaking to the manager, I have heard nothing of this.
Had the customer called and complained before September, we could and WOULD have done what is necessary to correct the issue. We are proud of our services and want our customer satisfied.
If the consumer wishes, she can call me, **** *********, OWNER, and I will personally discuss it and even visit with her to explain the proper treatment and if I feel like it was done incorrectly, will provide a new treatment personally. Please tell my administrator who you are and that you have filed a complaint with the BBB and I am expecting your call.
Thank you and I deeply apologize for your disappointment.
The information in the table below represents an industry comparison of businesses which are of the same relative size. This is based on BBB's database of businesses located in Central Oklahoma. Businesses may engage in more than one type of business. The percent of time the business engages in a type of business is not accounted for. The volume of business and number of transactions may have a bearing on the number of complaints received by BBB.
BBB records show the issues raised in the complaint have been resolved. Either customer confirmed the complaint has been resolved, or business confirmed the complaint has been resolved and customer did not respond to BBB correspondence informing customer that complaint will be considered resolved unless BBB hears otherwise from customer.

BBB began including text of consumer complaints and business responses in BBB Business Reviews on July 1, 2013 for complaints filed on that date and thereafter. This includes all complaints that meet our reporting guidelines and that are filed electronically. We also report on the resolution of the complaint, as determined by BBB.
BBB promotes truth in advertising by contacting advertisers whose claims conflict with the BBB Code of Advertising. These claims come to our attention from our internal review of advertising, consumer complaints and competitor challenges. BBB asks advertisers to prove their claims, change ads to make offers more clear to consumers, and remove misleading or deceptive statements.
Some Better Business Bureaus offer additional content and services in BBB Business Reviews. The additional content and services are typically regional in nature or, in some cases, a new product or service that is being tested prior to a more general release.
