Complaint: Window Leak Repair: Tape outside,caulk inside,replace warped left side framing.Builder used duct tape to seal windows, "Window tape" applied over the duct tape,leak around frame remained. We found this out when we had to have a second company address the leak that remained. Caulking is cracked,applied over dirt, blinds not removed to caulk top of window,caulking is hit,miss,mess. Two more windows needed same repair due to duct tape used by builder,window tape applied over duct tape? The caulking is cracking,blinds where not removed,caulking along top is hit and miss and messy. Paid to have 27 more windows caulked inside,blinds not removed caulking is hit/miss mess. Shower stall-caulked over dirt, had to be redone. Grout to tile floor looks aweful already,after being cleaned and sealed. Atruim doors- Frame taped and caulked for complaiint of leaking. Hasn't rained hard enough to determine if effective, but if window tape applied over
Desired Settlement: I called Decker to address the window that still leaked, was told that there is no warrenty or guarentee with window leak repair, and for a charge would come out and look at it again. By this time the entirelength of the top of the window framing soaked with water, warped and had to be removed. Decker worked on the left side of the window frame. We ended up paying another $390 dollars to another contractor to have the window fixed properly.
Business Response: Yes but she didn't give me a chance she just got someone else to repair which makes my warranty invalid and by the way window leaks, caulking, grout is not covered per contract so not sure what I need to do.
BBB's Final Determination: After reviewing the position of all parties, BBB determined that the business made a reasonable effort to address the complaint. However the consumer remains dissatisfied.
