Complaint: This company change my oil 7/25/13 not 3 weeks later i had to have my 2001 toyota towed because it stopped on the road and th motor locked down while i was driving. The tow truck company told me i had no oil on dip stick and the wrong oil filter that cause oil to run out. Poinsett tire towed my truck to there location has had the truck almost a week. They told me they dont have no one to look at the problem but my whole bottom of my truck is taken apart outside of there building in the parking lot.

Desired Settlement: I will like them to get my truck back in running order i have no way to work or to school i am a college student and my car insurance will not give me a rental because they said this company is at fault for motor damage.

Business Response: BUSINESS 9-25-2013

Ms. ****** ** ***** brought her 2001 Toyota 4 Runner into our shop on 7-25-2013 for oil change.  The 4 Runner had 174,254 miles on vehicle when serviced. It was August 15, 2013 that it was towed into shop. Three weeks later vehicle towed back into shop with 174,811 miles. Engine locked up! So, in a 3 weeks time she drove the vehicle over 557 miles!

If the wrong oil filter was installed on vehicle, she would not have got 3 miles fro store before something would have happened!  But she went 557 miles - huge Difference......

I did notice on inspection that a new transmission had been replaced soon after we did  an oil change....

Now, if someone had pitched the rear main seal when installing that can cause oil leakage too!

So I do not feel totally to blame at all...

Id did talk to the husband and had made arrangements to compensate for customer satisfaction of $1,000.000 in which he agreed because where he worked at was going to put it in for him for that!

However, he called me later and said that I was going to be another 400.00 and I informed him that was not the agreement!

I am more than happy to resolve issue but I have pictures of the 4 Runner and the new transmission too...

I feel someone is trying to get something for nothing!!

I will not be taken advantage of in that way!
