    I bought a car from Kia of Greer the in of June 2023 shortly after maybe a week or so in the car shuts off at the red light. Literally while waiting. I have to put the car in park and crank it back up. I take it there initially they claim there was nothing wrong with the car. Said it could be the gas I was using blah blah blah. By the third time, they had to keep the car for a few weeks until it finally did what it was doing to me with a tech. They kept that car for close to three weeks. Called said it was the hood switch. And that they have fixed the issue. Let’s forward to September 17th car acts like it doesn’t want to start up. I take the car to a place that can at least tell me if my battery is bad. They tell me the alternator is not where it should be percent wise. I take the car to Kia they claim they have ran tests and everything passed in the Green. Well I’m like why is it continuing to shut off and do a shift to P, the answer is they don’t know and looking at me as if it’s nothing they can do about it. I haven’t even had this car for 90 days and this company is refusing to take responsibility. They know they put me in a lemon, if I could go back I would have went with a different company. This company doesn’t want to take any accountability! They put me in a death trap. Car cutting off at red lights, car won’t start up, it hasn’t been a full 90 days. And it took them several times of taking it up there the first time and complaining, for them to even take me serious!

    My name is ******** *. For the past month or so, I've been trying to get my 2014 Kia ****** fixed at Fred Anderson Kia of Greer. I've become quite frustrated. We've had it at the dealership 3 different times within the past month and each time is 40 minutes each way. September 1, 2023: We brought my Kia in due to my car not turning over when filling the car up with gas and getting stranded a the gas station. We received the invoice for $1,773 to fix the issue which I was more than happy to pay assuming that the issue was fixed. I was out of the country for the majority of the month but I continued to see the issue upon getting the car back and brought it back to the dealership. We had to use rental cars for a trip to north carolina during the month due to not feeling comfortable driving the Kia. September 28, 2023: Because we were still experiencing the same issue, the Optima was brought back to the shop where we were told no issues were found upon diagnostic checks and that when the technician filled up the tank they didn't see any issues and everything looked good. Even though every time we filled up the tank we were having an issue and getting stranded at the gas station. September 29: We picked up the car and on the way home the check engine light turned on and we were still experiencing the same issue when we fill the gas tank up with the car not turning over. We scheduled an appointment for this morning where we dropped the Kia off and are now being told its going to cost almost $4K to replace the catalytic converter in order to get the check engine light off and when asked if that would fix the issue regarding the car not starting when putting gas in the tank was told "I don't know". I don't understand how a week ago this wasn't an issue and everything with the car was fine other than the original issue we brought the kia in for a month ago that still hasn't been fixed and now there is a different issue after bringing it to your service shop.
