Triad Area, NC  — The Better Business Bureau (BBB) is cautioning consumers across the Triad about Personal Touch Carpet and Floor Care, a carpet and floor cleaning company that has received several complaints from area home owners. Personal Touch Carpet and Floor Care has a pattern of complaints concerning customers buying packaged deals online. Most of the complaints originated with Living Social ads but the company has several other listings on the internet. Despite people scheduling appointments in advance, the business does not show up.Customers continue to contact the business but have no luck in receiving the services for which they have paid. One recent customer was told the price printed in the Living Social ad was incorrect and that they must pay an additional fee.

Despite BBB attempts to obtain a responses from the business, none have been received. The "physical" address typically used by the business in its advertising is not a complete address. Instead, it is a partial address for a strip shopping center that shows no signs of the company there now nor in the past.

The business contacted us inquiring about their F rating and how to improve it. They were told they must respond to three unanswered complaints. The fact of the false address was mentioned to the business. They responded by providing a PO Box address. They also validated the email address that BBB had used to contact them. Registered mail sent to the new address provided by the business was returned by the United States Postal Service as a non-deliverable address.

BBB reminds consumers to always do their own investigation of a business before selecting them. Do not assume the publisher of any advertisement for the company, whether online or not, has already done so for you. All BBB Business Reviews are at your fingertips by smartphone at m.bbb.org.
