Complaint: I have been to Modern Body Shop twice now for repairs. Each time I have been very diappointed with the repair. The first time they had to fix and replace my front bumper and hood. When i go to pick up my car there was a 4-5inch gap between the hood and grill. I took it back for them to fix it and it took them another 3-4 days.The second time i was hit on the passanger side and they had to get the scratches and dents out and paint the car. When i pick the car up a week later i relize that the rear door will not lock or unlock. I take it to them that day. They looked at it for over 30min and say the latch is broken and they have to order the part. after 3 weeks i call to see if the part is in and it is. After 2 weeks of them having my car each time for the repair they still could not fix it the first time. There are still issues i have with my front bumper but i am just tired of taking it up there. Also i have been getting vibrations ever since the first repair i have had my brakes and roators replaces.

Desired Settlement: I guess im not really looking for anything. However if i could get them to fix everything back to factory standards the gaps in the front bumper around my headlights and the vibration. I am going back for them to fix my door lock this week.

Modern Automotive’s Body Shop Manager, Andy Willard, reviewed all records associated with this customer when he was notified of the issues.  Mr. Willard contacted the customer on May 2, 2013, and offered to replace the latch referred to in the complaint.  Unfortunately, the part had been on back-order from Saturn.  Despite several calls to Saturn, it was not a speedy fulfillment of the order.

Mr. Willard has also offered to pick up the customer’s vehicle or give him a vehicle to drive while the latch is installed.  It is our understanding that the customer plans on doing this.

Modern hopes this will resolve the customer complaint.

Complaint: I have a 2007 Toyota Matrix M-Theory that has 107,000 miles and the radiator is separating which is a manufacture defect I think this needs to be replaced. Modern Toyota says they want replace it because it is no longer under warranty the service manager says if things didn't break he wouldn't have a job I think that remark is very unprofessional, the salesman that sold us the car ask if we didn't think we would have to do maintenance on the car I don't consider replacing a radiator that is 5 years old part of normal maintenance in cars considering most people never have to replace the radiator in the cars regardless of the miles.

Desired Settlement: I think that Toyota should replace this raditor at no charge to me.

Complaint: I tried to go buy a nissan truck today based on an advertised price on the internet. the price was 20,995. I submitted a request through the website for more information on the titan. I was contacted the next day by andrea who works in the internet sales dept at modern nissan. She confirmed the truck i was interested in and then confirmed the price, so i scheduled an appointment to go see it. I got on the lot with my twin 3 year old boys and took the truck for a test drive in which i had to load their carseats into the truck, which the salesman was so nice to help, before we left the lot I asked the salesman why such a good deal, he stated that they had not sold a truck in months and were trying to move inventory, ok, good for us. Got back went in to do paperwork, and the sales manager Steve Tuttle had pulled my salesman away and told them the had the wrong price advertised. Before they even told me what it was they already had it changed on the internet, luckily I have a copy of the original page with the listed price. they came back and told me 29,995 for the truck. Obviously I had a problem with that and complained in a calm manner. I eventually told the manager i understood and asked if we could meet in the middle he said he would see what he could do, came back with 900 more dollars added to my trade in, but still on 29995, and added he could throw in a 20 dollar gift card for gas. we eventually left the dealership with a very bad taste, we felt we were falsely advertised to, and even with us willing to work with them, we were told there is no way they were going to take a hit because of their mistake. I'm a very disappointd past owner of two nissan vehicles and will not recommend Modern Nissan of winston salem NC to anyone. Very misguided and mistreated!

Desired Settlement: I want the advertised price honored. We triad to meet with them in the middle and they said no, now I want the price honored!
