August 06, 2020 Foley Roofing gave me an estimate to replace my roof for 17, 850. August 25, 2020 I agreed to the proposal and submitted ****. deposit as instructed to begin the job.October 05, 2020 I was billed 10, 730dollars for the completion of the roof job. I was charged an extra 380. to address "Chimney siding replacement" and an extra ****. to cover an increase in material costs. Bringing my total for the new roof to 19, 730. which I paid for in full.December 25, 2021 we noticed a wet stain spot on the ceiling above our pellet stove. We surmised that we had a leak somewhere that involved our new roof.Jan. 03, 2022 we emailed pics. to Foley roofing to show the leak. "*****" from Foley roofing came out and caulked around the chimney box April 04, 2022 Del came out and looked at the wet spot on the ceiling.April 11th, 2022 the wet spot grew and began to peal. Again we called Foley roofing to complain that the caulk job was ineffective.April 13th? **** came out and looked at the roof again.April 28, 2022 "****" from Umpqua sheet metal came out to look at the roof cap.May 06, 2022 *** and ***** of ****** Home and Hearth came out to look at the leak. No one can seem to agree on the cause of the leak.July 06th, 2022 Del states that the cause of the leak is not his problem, and he believes the wet spot was in fact a stain that bled through as a result of a poor interior paint job. *** wanted, *****************, a ******* to come out to look at the stain and provide a quote to paint over the spot. We insisted that this would merely hide the leak damage, and further the painter should be involved only after the leak is repaired. I sent Foley roofing pics of the ceiling before the house was painted to show no stain existed. To date Foley roofing has yet to identify and or correct the problem. We want the leak taken care of with possibly a new chimney box that is properly flashed and sealed. Then some interior paint and patch work to repair the ceiling.
