      I have been with Lewis Co. Vision for a few years now and have always had something go wrong with billing. This time I called back in Aug 21 to get some new glasses. They told me my benefit would be available again after the first of the year and that it was best to wait. I appreciated this direction and asked to order some contacts to hold me over. They then used the very benefit I wanted to use on glasses to pay for my contacts and when I came back this year in April to get those glasses I wanted, the benefit was gone.I expressed my frustration at this during the April visit. They did apologize and said they would correct it and reverse the charge for my contacts and issue a credit for the error. This way the benefits would be available for the glasses I wanted. I very directly asked, for clarity, if this was going to cost me anything since it was their error and was told: absolutely not. I went ahead and ordered the glasses, got some Rx sunglasses too, and my wife got a couple of pairs as well. Almost a month and a half later I get a **** for $150 from back in Aug.I reached out to the billing department and they admitted, again, they were wrong in charging back in Aug and said they would get back to me with how they were going to sort it out. I just received a call that said I am still on the hook for the $150. After explaining to them the logical insanity of this and my concern that I was apparently blatantly lied to on a couple of occasions, I just gave up. They can have my $150 and then lose the entirety of my familys future business. I will also be taking this up to the ** State AG and the BBB. Scummy practices like this are why people are so frustrated with healthcare. I just didnt expect this from someone local; makes it even more painful.I would like an apology and my money back.
