My family and I stayed July 31st - Aug 5th, total charges were $817.69. I have exchanged several emails with their parent company choicehotels.com which I can share along with videos and pictures from our stay. We have been unable to come to an agreement. They have offered me reward points which I do not want. The last night of our stay we discovered cockroaches in our room, I had to ****** what they looked like, Id never seen one, but they scattered when we came in from a late night bonfire on the beach and flipped on the light switch. I promptly took one down to the front desk in a cup and was offered to move rooms. At this point we had been there for for 4 nights so our personal items had already been contaminated and if theres cockroaches in one room they are most likely throughout the whole hotel. We had to throw away all of our specialty foods (fudges/candies/jerky/smoked salmon and specialty cheeses) we had bought throughout the trip due to contamination. We had planned on continuing our trip up the coast for another 3 days but had to cancel those plans due to all of our items being exposed to cockroaches and not wanting to spread the infestation to another hotel. There were many other things that happened during our stay that I outlined in my initial emails. After discovering cockroaches I woke up our children to check the beds and discovered blood stains on one mattress in our room and a mystery red stain on the mattress protector on the other bed. We had stayed at this hotel before and really enjoyed our stay. Im not sure if the hotel has changed ownership but it was not anywhere close to the quality/cleanliness/service wed experienced in the past. I am asking that the whole stay be refunded. I am unsure of how to upload emails but if Im provided a email address I am happy to forward them.
