Business Response: Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2014/05/12) */ We received this clients request to cancel at 3:57 pm PDT on 05/09/14. Because it was a credit/debit transaction, we could not refund it. Credit/debit transactions are first authorized for payment and the the funds are typically held in a person's account as "pending". The credit/debit processing companies then settle all transactions overnight and the following business day, the transaction will show as "posted". Please note, this is not a policy or practice enacted by Fanbase Solutions. This is a practice utilized by merchant processing and banks. We voided the transaction the same day at 4:30 pm. Only one half hour after receiving the cancellation request. The client did not see the voided transaction in his account, because the transaction had previously been authorized and was sitting as "pending". The voided transaction processed through overnight and the client should be able to see it in one to two business days. These clients are in Canada so it may be delayed as we are a US company. They would need to contact their bank or credit card company to find out what the timeline is for full processing. Additionally, this client was emailed at 4:40 pm on 05/09/14 to advise that the transaction had been voided and to be given a receipt of that voided transaction. Attached please find the detail of interaction with this client as well as the voided transaction detail showing a settled amount of $0.00 from our merchant processing system ***SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS REDACTED BY BBB*** Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (2000, 7, 2014/05/13) */ (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
