            I bought a house in King **** in 9/21. I started having problems with the touch tone keys of the Carrier Smart Thermostat in my home which was installed in 11/2017 (according to the warranty left by the previous owner) The warranty further stated there was a 10 yr guarantee on the thermostat for the previous owner which was reduced to 5 yrs for the 2nd owner (me). I called the above company and was told by **** I would need to pay $170 diagnostic fee and if thermostat was determined to be defective, they would order another one and I would pay and additional $100 for a 2nd visit to install it. My son called to confirm this and was told the same. When the tech arrived today (3/17/22) I was informed I needed to pay an ADDITIONAL $373 installation fee. He was at my house less than an hour. **** lied to me on the phone about the costs. I was told $270 at the most for 2 visits. I was charged $543 and upon my son's 2nd call, **** said he was fine with that charge. Appears to be deceit and fraud involved here. I was emailed the receipt/quote AFTER the service visit.

            I am highly disappointed with the service provided by Specialty Heating and Cooling. We had them install a new furnace in July. The bid was competitive with others I received and I really enjoyed my interactions with our sales advisor Nic. He did a thorough assessment of our needs and equipment and took accurate measurements. He was professional, courteous, and arrived on time. This, along with my coworkers recommendation, tipped the decision in their favor.The problems started during the installation, The install team arrived on time, but were anything but courteous and professional. The lead installer was put out that I asked them to wear shoe covers when they entered the main floor of the house. About an hour and a half into install they began playing music at a very high volume. I figured, ok this will help them be happier while they work, so I donned my headphones and continued on with my workday. I was so wrong. The install was extremely sloppy. Sealant had been slapped on and had dripped onto the floor, basement columns, and areas on the equipment that it should not have been applied. Our condenser coil housing that rests atop the furnace was now uneven which could cause issues with draining when the ** is running. Metal straps that provide stability had been haphazardly applied and s**** holes that had been uncovered or recently used had not been sealed. The old condensate line, which was being replaced, was only partially removed. They also damaged my basement steps and door when they were removing the old equipment. Overall, this install was done with very little care given to our property and left us with unsightly equipment we were now frightened to use. We immediately reached out to our sales advisor who profusely apologized and one of the co-owners, ****, arrived the next day to assess the damages. We then had to wait a week to have them come out and fix all the issues. Luckily, this wasnt during a heatwave, but a week is a long time to wait w

            ******* and *****, thank you for providing this feedback and nice comments about Nic. We strive for a great experience with our company and unfortunately we fell short of that for you. In effort to make it right and stand behind our work this is the outline of what happened to make the appropriate corrections to your satisfaction that were approved.We were notified of issues on Monday July 11th. Same day as install. Contacted client immediately to set up and appointment for the owner to come look at the installation concerns.Owner stopped by to address concerns and make of list of issues on July 13th, made an appointment to complete corrections (all of which were purely cosmetic in nature. This workmanship has been discussed with our install team) for July 22nd.July 22nd. Made all corrections to customers satisfaction, as a courtesy we also made corrections to existing A/C unit that was installed incorrectly by another company 6 years ago. The A/C evaporator coil was not level and had an air leak on the access door. We leveled the coil and re-installed the door, again, at no charge.Installation passed *********** inspection on August 2nd.We also agreed to the following:Agreed to pay for scratches to door and floor.Agreed to pay an addition amount for the inconvenience.Agreed to install a customer provided thermostat at no charge.
