In 2022 I purchased a 1-year subscription to ZoomInfo for $8K. This plan auto-renewed in 2023. I was not reminded or given the chance to cancel the auto renewal. The auto-renew clause was buried in my initial contract. I never used the original membership. I have downloaded none of their data. 2022 & 2023 were difficult years in my business. I told them on the auto-renew I could not afford to pay it, and they refused to cancel the ongoing year, despite being in total violation of ********** automatic renewal law. I had ongoing conversations with my ever-changing account managers. This year, in February of 2024, I had a conversation with my newly assigned account manager. I told her at that time that I couldn't afford to pay my $7K remaining bill. She said that she would be talking to her supervisors to see if there was anything they could do given that I had not used the system. Before I heard back from her I started getting collection calls from the company that they submitted my account to collections with. The auto-renewal was predatory and their unwillingness to cancel a bill for a service that I never used is unconscionable. They already got $9K from me for something I never used. I didn't even argue about the first year or ask for a refund. I simply didn't want to auto-renew because I couldn't afford it. All of their calls are recorded. I have been saying this for a year. They didn't inform me. My account managers were inconsistent, and this auto renewed without informing me that the contract would auto renew.
