    Federal Communications Commission v T-Mobile USA, Inc.

    The following describes a government action that has been resolved by either a settlement or a decision by a court or administrative agency. If the matter is being appealed, it will be noted below.

    On November 23, 2021, The Federal Communications Commission and T-Mobile USA, Inc. entered into a Consent Decree to resolve its investigation into whether T-Mobile USA, Inc. failed to comply with the Commission’s 911 rules.

    These rules require wireless providers to reasonably design and operate their networks to ensure reliable transmission of all 911 calls, including providing 911 call back information and 911 location information, to public safety answering points (PSAPs), and to timely notify potentially affected PSAPs of reportable 911 outages.

    To settle this matter, T-Mobile will pay a $19,500,000 settlement payment and will implement a compliance plan. Notably, the compliance measures contain new commitments by T-Mobile to improve the 911 outage notices given to PSAPs, including providing PSAPs with a wide array of information about the outages and providing follow-up notices within two hours of the initial outage notifications.

      I have been a customer with ********************** for quite some time without issues. I originally had 6 lines on my account but now have 3. The issue started when I purchased a Pixel 7 phone and a watch to for one of my lines. First I was told that the watch would be half off under a promotion, yet I still see it at full price even tho I have been told that what I am paying half for is the monthly charge for the watch. Then the store I did the purchase through added a $15 line charge that I was not told about. I have saved conversations with T mobile reps who assured me I would get credited for the times I was charged the $15 which I did, but on my recent bill, the charge was there again. The other issue is that there is a line there that I have no idea who it belongs to and I am being charged for that line. I contacted T Mobile and was told this line would come off but I am not sure how long I have been charged for this bogus phone line that does not belong to anyone in my account. The third issue is that the Pixel 7 that was under payment plan which I was told was also part of a promotion for half at the store was stolen. I went to the store to file a claim and was told that I would get a refurbished phone. Why am I paying for a new phone to then receive a used refurbished phone as a replacement? I went ahead and paid off the phone and was charged full price when it was supposed to be half. The last issue is that my ******* account through ********************** was hacked and T mobile did not even catch on or reach out to me. ******* fixed the issue. This makes me question T mobile security measures and their practice when it comes to billing. This has me under a lot of stress because now I don't know how long I have been overpaying in my bill. About the watch, I was told at the store that if 2 billing cycles passed and I was still getting charged full price, they would escalate the issue and take the watch off the bill, yet that did not happen. T mobile practices are questionable. I was to also write to my state's general attorney and make a consumer complaint.

      Trying to cancel, the bill doesnt add up. Called, in store etc. All lies. Horrible like service. Have complaints for 2 years that can't have a conversation without garbled or dead air
