      I was visiting Portland and noticed my car was making a weird sound so I took it in to get looked at. I have only had my car for 3 months and they had told me that I had damage to my front left wheel bearing and that my brakes and rotors for the front wheels were at 2mm. Obviously I got it fixed out of fear that my car wouldn’t make it home. Ended up costing near $1200 only to find out once I got home that the dealership I purchased the car from confirmed they had already replaced the brake pads and rotors prior to me purchasing the car. I also had my check engine light come on right after leaving because my wastegate for the turbo needed to be replaced, which was not mentioned anywhere on my diagnostic report they send when working on your car. Extremely disappointed and feel I was taken advantage of for being a young woman and not being familiar with the area or knowing of better service areas. Would give 0 stars if possible and hope others don’t make the same mistake I did. Business responded to my review and tried to discredit everything I had said, even though I have the pictures to prove the check engine light was not on prior to them doing work on my car. They also did not show one picture of the damaged brakes, rotors or wheel bearing. They ended their response by telling me to “please drive sober in Oregon”, which is an extremely unprofessional implication that I can only assume they are saying to discredit me, even though they have no reason to believe or assume I drive or was under the influence of anything when picking up or dropping off my car?

      The vehicle was brought in making a front end noise we inspected and found the front wheel bearing bad the front brakes were at 2mm of pad thickness and the brakes need to be removed to replace the wheel bearing. we recommended replacement of both since it doesn't make sense to reinstall worn parts. the rear brake did look new and measured at 6mm. we did not inspect or diagnose any check engine light at that time. Nothing we worked on would have affected the turbo in any way. I see nothing wrong with encouraging people that are traveling to drive sober and be safe when traveling. I was not insinuating anything about the person just a reminder that is meaningful to us. sorry if it was taken as such.

      In regards to the comment from the business: I have no way to believe that you guys are telling the truth. I did not receive any pictures that they were that worn out or that the bearing was broken due to the fact that there were no pictures whatsoever that showed damage. Your nasty comment on google said that you guys document and take pictures of all the damage so how does it make sense for me to believe there was damage when there’s so pictures and I’m basically taking your word for it? And in regards to the “sober” comment, I think you said it best and that “is inaccurate as you know…”. Nowhere in my review was that comment warranted and to suggest that you were saying that because it was meaningful is so ridiculous. We both know that was inappropriate to say with the context it was in and I am truly disappointed this is how the situation was handled. Your customers don’t deserve to be called liars because they have genuine concerns with whether they were scammed or not, especially when they have legitimate reasons to believe that is the case. I was lucky enough to have it fixed at my trusted mechanic back home for free and I hope you guys learn how to handle situations like these as adults who run a business.
