      This is a complaint about Capitol Subaru and Subaru ***. Subaru and Capitol Subaru are knowingly selling cars that do not have parts available for repairs. They also do not have technicians who can work on the cars. They do not disclose these possible challenges during the sales process. I leased a new Subaru Solterra on 1/24/24. During the test drive, I could adjust the side mirrors. We got home, and a day later, when my husband went to drive the car, the passenger side mirror would not adjust. I called the dealership on 1/27 (had jury duty on 1/26, the day after we discovered the issue). They couldn't get us in for several days because apparently it takes a special service person to work on a Solterra, and he only works on Tuesdays. We dropped the car off on 1/30 at Capitol Subaru. The car needs a complete mirror assembly to fix the issue, and there are none available anywhere in the US. The dealership blames the partnership with ****** for the problems. They will not take the car back and cancel the lease contract. I've tried to talk to Subaru, but they are not responding to digital contact, and when I called, they passed me around to several departments and ended up ending the connection. It is now 1/31. We picked the car up 1 week ago. There is no resolution in sight. They will not give me an ETA because there isn't one. It's a huge Subaru issue. Neither Subaru or the dealership will help. They will not take the car back even though the problem is due to their inability to fix a problem with a brand new car.

      About 6-7 months after I purchased a vehicle from them I noticed my vehicle started making noise. I checked the oil in and realized it was empty. The dashboard unfortunately did not indicate that it was running low. We were told by the dealership I should get a minimum of ****** miles, but I ran out by *****. We contacted the dealership to try and find out why the vehicle ran out of oil. It was then we found out that they put the wrong oil when they did an oil change. After some back and forth I requested to take it to the dealership for the make of the vehicle and have them do an inspection, but that they pay for it. The make dealership found metal shavings in the engine and stated it was due to the original dealer putting the wrong oil in and the reason it ran out. This means I now need a new engine. Luckily I purchased an extended warranty so the engine is covered. We then told the original dealer of the findings and I need a loaner car while I wait for mine to be fixed. I was told they had none so I had to go get one that I had for a month. After a mishap we found out it was going to take 6 weeks until I get my vehicle back. We reached back out to the dealer after going through the extended warranty paperwork and told them per the warranty they have to provide a loaner. They finally agreed. When I went down to pick the loaner up I was surprised to see dealer stickers on it. I was upset that the loaner is a diesel when I dont drive diesel due to cost. The very next morning as I was driving to work the low tire pressure light came on. So I took it to the local tire shop. Luckily it was just a low tire, easy fix. It was after this we were told the loaner is going to auction when I take it back. The dealership supervisor and manager have been nothing but condescending and rude. They are sticking to the fact that it is a used car and sold as is, even though it was because of them that I need a new engine. There has been no compassion or anything, not even a sorry.

      Once this situation happened we immediately assisted them in getting the vehicle to the correct repair shop and provided a loaner for them at no cost. This is after covering in full the out of pocket cost for the rental that they had been in up until we could get them into a loaner.

      We provided them a loaner we had to go out and purchase for our service department so that we could have one available for them. They have had no out of pocket expenses in this matter
