      I took my car to AutoNation on 2/21/22 for an alignment. They found damage and quoted me $3000 for the repairs. I filed a claim with my insurance agency. The insurance company said the quote had to come from the body shop. I contacted the AutoNation body shop and they didn't have anything on file, or even knew where my car was. I didn't get a quote from them for a month. They then quoted me $1500. I contacted my insurance agent about my options of having the car towed, so that I could repair the car myself, since the deductible was $1000, and the new quote was only $1500. While I was waiting for a response, the body shop called telling me on 4/11/22 that the car had been repaired, and I needed to bring them the $1000 deductible. I call the manager ******************* and expressed my concern about the repair being done without my permission, the 6 weeks it had taken, and didn't feel the $1000 to get my car back was acceptable. His response was "well if you want, I can take my parts off of the car and you can come get it." I inquired as to why it took over 6 weeks to even get the car looked at to which he replied that "he didn't know." I also asked him why there were 2 quotes with such a price discrepancy. He told me the service department rates were double that of the body shop. After making some calls, I discovered all of the front end work on my car had been done by the service shop, and not the body shop. I'm concerned that the service department was doing front end work on my vehicle, and not the collision center! His department didn't even repair the car. I went in on 4/15 and paid the $1000 to get my car back. It's still having front end issues. I am extremely unsatisfied with the quality of work and customer service and **********************, and specifically with the unprofessional "Manager" *******************. I will not go back there for services, or to AutoNation in general, nor would I recommend that anyone does. I would like a refund, or at the least, an adjustment on the $1000.
