After submitting a request for offers on the BBB site I was contacted by Doug ********* from Shepheard Development LLC he put in a bid on the job we negotiated a slightly lower price for the work that was scheduled to take 3 weeks. The work was remove existing flooring & subfloor throughout the house lay a continuous vapor barrier on the ground replace the subfloor repairing joists & beams as necessary put in new luxury vinyl flooring in all but the bathrooms. The 1 bathroom to get new tile only while the master bathroom would be an entire gut and rebuild with the shower and toilet relocated with the shower to be floor to ceiling tile and the rest of the bathroom to have tiles 3 feet up the wall. The toilet and vanity would be provided by me. There were additional issues found that caused reasonable delays. The Hvac company that i had a contract with to install a brand new system bailed on the job on install day. Doug Found another company and the hvac price was agreed to with additional work being required of spray foam in the attic space and the removal and replacement of the ceiling during this delay the paint on the walls started falling off as there was no temp or humidity control in the house Doug said that he would have the painters repaint the walls and the mud and tape guys prep the walls my spouse and myself removed the peeling paint. I After all this his painter quit and my spouse and myself painted the house. Early Oct. we informed Doug the work would need to be completed October 27th as our alternative housing was at an end and the house would have to be completed to allow occupancy. I was given a schedule of work and when the workers failed to show I contacted Doug and asked why he then Quit and left us with tons of work not completed to satisfaction or code and other work not even started. Also damage to my property broken microwave and countertop,sheetrock mud in the controls of the dishwasher, missing work light, missing kitchen faucet.
