Programs

Hope House offers state certified transitional residential programs for homeless, chemically dependent women with a capacity of 19 in two facilities. Our mission is to provide these women with opportunities to pursue recovery and self-sufficiency in a healthy, supportive living environment. A full admission process is completed with all clients upon arrival and an individualized treatment plan is developed within five days by case management staff, a certified alcohol & drug abuse counselor, and the client. This plan identifies the strengths and needs of each client, sets individual goals and methods by which to achieve those goals, and establishes time parameters to achieve goals. Treatment plan reviews and evaluations are completed monthly with revisions and additions as recovery takes place. A full complement of supportive services and basic life skills are provided to clients as needed which include on-site addictions counseling, employment assistance, client/legal advocacy, transportation, financial management, substance abuse education groups, relapse prevention, stress & anger management groups, basic computer training, parenting classes and aftercare. Based in 12-Step recovery principles, Hope House provides rules and structure designed to encourage clients to accept personal responsibility for their choices and mandates participation in the support group of their choice. Hope House also requires client attendance at weekly in-house meetings designed specifically for this population. The average length of stay is six months, but clients may successfully complete the program anywhere from four months up to two years, depending on individual needs.
