Programs

Community Harvest Food Bank provides the following programs:
Kids Café: In Kids Café, the organization partners with existing youth programs, such as the Boys and Girls Clubs, to offer free food to children who are at the risk of hunger. Community Harvest Food Bank provides - at no cost to the host site - the food, menu ideas, set-up guidance and ongoing consultation. The host site provides the staff to prepare and serve the meals and conduct activities.
Community Cupboard: This is the organization's on-site "grocery store" where their member agencies refer their clients, using pound food vouchers rather than cash vouchers. These clients shop in dignity and member agencies stretch their hunger relief budget further.
Farm Wagon: This is the organization's mobile fresh produce and perishables pantry serving low-income and rural neighborhoods.
SeniorPak: SeniorPak is a volunteer-driven program that currently provides free bi-weekly deliveries of dietetically sensitive food to 820 older adults who are homebound and living on limited incomes.
Community Harvest Food Bank is top-ranking among 181 major food banks in the U.S. by America's Second Harvest - the Nation's Food Bank Network- for pounds of food provided per person at poverty level, and recipient of the Food Bank of the Year Award 2005. Also the organization is a recipient of the mayor's first "Faith Works" award.
