On Oct. 13, 2023, I went to Miracle Ear on *********** to be tested for hearing loss, and purchasing hearing aids. The audioligist, *************************, was very pleasant and explained the different hearing aids, I decided to go with the small "in the ear" type. They were expensive ($6229.00) but ***** explained that this aid had a feature that would automatically reduce loud noises. And that he would have me come in monthly or every two weeks for him to adjust them at no cost to me. I decided on every 2 wks. After a couple of wks I was noticing that I could hear the same without the aids as with them! When I went in to have ***** look at them, he said they probably had wax in them and proceeded to clean any wax out, but never showed the wax to me to confirm that this was the problem. After 8 appointments, I informed him that I was unhappy with them & that I felt something was wrong with them. My reasons for thinking this............#1, why was I not hearing any differently with the hearing aids in or out of my ears..........#2, why weren't they picking up and adjusting to the louder noises like I was told they would do..............#3, and how could I have lots of wax in my ears in 2 wks time, when I ordinarily have so little in 6 wks time? ............ Needless to say, ***** wasn't at all happy with me, and almost threw my hearing aids across the table to me. I will never advise anyone to go there for hearing aids.
