Programs

Fort Wayne Center for Learning provides individual and intensive intervention that helps change the way a student processes, retrieves, organizes and uses information and language. Students learn to read, write, comprehend, spell and do math. They also learn to think, problem solve, advocate for and express themselves and to overcome and manage their learning challenges.

Many students bring coexisting conditions that interfere with the learning process-attention, anxiety, difficulty with self-regulation and monitoring, self-esteem, language, environment, etc. Methods used help students identify these issues and discover strategies to manage them so the learning process can stabilize.

Instructors receive continuous training to maintain high standards of program implementation and student/teacher interaction. Students receive thorough academic assessments and written reports before, during and at the end of instruction. Parents are updated weekly in writing and in person regularly.

Fort Wayne Center for Learning has been serving children from 6 to 18 years of age in northeast Indiana since September 2003. Most have reading, writing, comprehension and/or math difficulties. The organization also works with students who are in need of the organization Academic Performance Management program to help them manage their school work production.
