Boys & Girls Clubs of Northwest Indiana provides diverse activities with adults, peers and family members that enable them to develop self-esteem and to reach their full potential. Based on physical, emotional, cultural and social needs and interest of girls and boys, and recognizing development principles, their clubs offer program activities in five areas: Character & Leadership Development; Education & Career Development; Health & Life Skills; The Arts; and Sports, Fitness & Recreation. Boys & Girls Clubs of Northwest Indiana provide after-school and summer youth development programs with a heavy concentration in educational enhancement, mentoring, and leadership building activities. Annually, the organization serves over 10,000 youth at six Club locations. At the six Clubs, they serve nearly 1,000 Lake County, Indiana youth residents on a daily basis. The organization membership dues are low at only $10 dollars per child, per year, including transportation. However, the organization will never turn down a child or family away from the Club if they are unable to provide this membership fee. The membership fee is kept at a reasonable rate, purposely, because the Clubs are strategically located in areas that need the most attention.
