Allen County Education Partnership's after-school tutoring program, Project READS Students-designed for kindergarten through third grade students who read/achieve below grade level. The program matches volunteer tutors with students on a one-on-one or small group basis for one hour each week, October through May.
Project READS Parents-presents standards-based, grade-level-specific tools and techniques that parents can use at home with their child(ren). The program consists of two 2-hour workshop sessions for parents of kindergarten, first and second graders. Retired school teachers lead the sessions that not only teach academic skills but also communication and nurturing skills for young learners.
