On 5/12/22, SWR requested to go on top of my roof to assess for "hail damage".They said I had hail damage and showed me some pics.They asked to allow them to call my insurance to make a claim and wanted to be present during the call.I thought how odd, but like any homeowner who doesn't know much about claims,I was very reluctant and didn't allow that.I wanted to look around for other roofing companies that don't solicit door to door.Reluctantly I made an appointment on 5/13/22 with SWR and I canceled as I still didn't feel comfortable. I was getting texts, calls, and unannounced visits from David asking me to meet with him to clear up any concerns.David offered me a 1k$ rebate once the job was completed as a good gesture because I'm a social worker.On 5/23/22, I received a text, "Loveland has passed a new code which goes in effect June 1st" and they really wanted to start the process before that date.Again,feeling a lot of pressure.On 5/24/22, I asked how the 1k rebate worked.David replied I would pay my deductible to my insurance,SWR would get paid for the work,and they would pay me the rebate and also suggested they could work it out so I received the rebate the same time I provide the final insurance check. David presents me with what I now know, a contingency agreement and if I decided NOT to go with SWR I could pay UP TO 1k, Never received a copy.My intention was to continue working with SWR.On 6/24/22 David had a contract and requests my TOTAL insurance check plus my deductible.I had concerns about doing that because there was a roof amount and a non-roof amount.He seemed frustrated with me that I had concerns.I was told that the 1krebate would just go into the cost of the roof, not what I was told initially. John called me on 6/27/22 and I was reluctant to talk and he yelled at me as I stated I had concerns. HE said he wanted to end the business relationship and I owe him 1k and stated I am "re-nigging".Threatened a lien and foreclosure.Now being ignored.
