My Gas was cut off for maintenance last May and I did not know untill cold front came in Jan 2014. I want credit for 9 months cause I paid the bill.
I have been paying my maintence fee of $8.06 monthly and from what I was told the gas company did maintenance and cut my gas off in May 2013 to my fireplace because nobody was home. I never seen any notification of my gas being cut off so when I tried to turn the gas on in Jan. 2014 I had none. I talked to Mr. **** ******* and he refused to give me credit saying it was a maintenance fee and I did not use much gas in 2012. This has nothing to do with how much gas I used and I understand it was a maintenace fee, I chose to keep paying it instead of cutting it off so that when I needed gas I could just turn the valve on and use the fireplace. If the gas company cuts someones gas off I'm sure they have a list of those names and I believe they should have tried to notify me when I never called to set up a time for the maintenance man to turn my gas back on just in case their door knob notice gets blown away by the wind like I was told.

Credit for time gas was cut off in May of 2013 thru Jan 2014 since I paid my monthly bill and when gas was needed there was none.

Business Response
On May 23, 2013, gas was turned off due to replacement of a regulator on the meter set at said residence. Resident was not home, CJG left meter off and locked. Also, it's our policy to tag the door informing customer gas is off and to call anytime(24/7) to have gas turned on and appliances lit. The $8.06 minimum monthly bill is paid by all residential customers whether they have consumption or not. A phone call to Cullman Jefferson Gas when customer attempted to use his gas logs, CJG would have responded immediately. I apologize for any inconvenience and look forward to resolving this issue.
