In October 2008 this company's identity was stolen by an unknown entity. This person/persons created a website (www.umailing.biz) identifying themselves using the name and address of this local company but listing a Charleston, SC phone number for their call center. They also fraudulently used the BBB logo and a statement "Approved in Better Business Bureau" to lend themselves credibility. Based on an advertisement placed in the Los Angeles Times offering employment opportunities with United Mailing, the local business started receiving calls from people responding to the advertisement at which time the business owner notified the proper authorities of the identity theft.
