Complaint
Was charged $316 for duct modifications during install of air handler. No ducts were modified.
Customer Order No. XXXXX. 6/12/2014.
Contacted by home warranty company prior to service visit concerning the uncovered charges associated with a new air handler being installed. Called Integrity prior to service visit for a detailed description of the charges. On date of service, I watched the install specifically to see if any ducts were modified. The new air handler fit the existing duct work. The intake was placed on top of a plywood box with a hole in it. The hole was in place from the previous air handler. The existing return duct was placed on top of the air handler. After completion I asked the technician to itemize the work done. I was charged $158 for duct modifications to both the intake and return. I questioned this, but was unable to get the charge removed. I payed the full amount charged.

Desired Settlement
I want $316 back for the non-existent duct modifications.

Business Response
Integrity Services has issued a refund in the amount of $316. After looking into the job and talking with our staff. There were no duct modifications completed and the customer should not have been charged for the modifications. These charges are issued through a extended home warranty provider due to non insurance coverage. We are a third party provider on behalf of the extended home warranty company. However this install did not need the modifications and should have not been charged.

Consumer Response
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
The company agreed that I had been overcharged and gave me a check for the $316 that was in dispute.

Complaint
Integrity Services were contracted through a home warranty company to provide HVAC repair services. While working they caused further damage.
The Integrity service repairman that responded to the warranty service call began replacing a damaged cooling coil on my HVAC systems. During the course of the repair, he spilled a large amount of water on the floor of my attic which seeped through to the ceiling of my kitchen and created major damage to the ceiling of my kitchen. I called the business several times but the receptionist told me each time that I had to talk to the owner. I finally reached the owner one morning and he admitted to me that he spoke to his repair guy and he admitted to spilling the water in the catch tray over onto the floor of my attic. The owner said he had a full day of installations but would call me when he got back into town to stop by and look at the damage. He never did. I called several times after that and the owner never responded. This business is insured and would have been an easy repair especially since he acknowledged that his repair man admitted to causing the damage and that he was insured. He has not fixed the damage that his business has created to this day.

Desired Settlement
a third party mold inspection and remediation if necessary and then the repair to my kitchen ceiling to include replacement of the sheet rock and paint.

Business Response
We had our inurance company investigate the issue and the result was inconclusive if the ac system caused the issue or our service tech. We requested our insurance company to repair the ceiling.

Consumer Response
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
I accept because they have agreed to perform the repair. Thank you BBB. **** *****
