My minor child, Amari May #******, was scheduled to go on a Grad night trip to **********. On Tuesday. February 21, 2023, the **** Native American Tribe sent a check for the remaining balance on the account which was $469. This check was sent priority and included my daughter's name and traveler ID number. When I checked her account on Friday, February 24th the money had not been credited to her account. I called isTours and spoke with a representative by the name of *****. ***** told me that no check had been received on behalf of my daughter and she suggested I call back Monday. February 27, which I did. No check was received yet, I was put on hold so that ***** could speak with accounting. At this point nothing had been credited to my daughter's account. Come to find out the coordinator for the senior trip had the check all along since Friday, February 24th. Three days of calling and the representative didn't send a message to the coordinator or put me in contact with her? It doesn't make sense. Why hold on to a check that long? Why was this situation handled so poorly and no one communicated with parent and/or student? Now today, March 1 the money is due by 5 p.m. and the check was cancelled because we thought it was lost or delivered to wrong person/address. My child is going to be booted from her spot on the trip when we did our part. Company needs to give us more time to pay as it was not our fault the money was sent but not credited to her account. Also, company needs to give students and parents the Trip Coordinators information so that if there are specific questions, they can ask a person who actually has answers regarding their finances regarding trip and specific trip information.
