Complaint: tried to refuse air/water service after purchase of 35.01 of gas at pumps I sent in my son **** and a young read head girl told my son that I would have to pay with my own money and when I went in to request use of air she said the same thing even after I said 3 times that I purchased gas redhead girl tried to refuse service and started to initiate a verbal altercation with me although the man behind the counter gave me 2 tokens for the machine she still tried to harass me so I said I don't have time for this and left when I left she followed me out to write down my lic plate # Isn't it illegal to try to extort money for use of air and water from paying customer ???? and also harass them???? she made me look bad in front of my 15 year old son and should not be tolerated I will never go there again!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Desired Settlement: I would like a letter of apology to me and my son ryan he is the real victim and I would like it documented thanks

Business Response: Hello my name is ****** ********, Store Manager of the Bait Barn. I would like to respond to the incident in question. 

On this day, Mr. ******* did in fact purchase gas at our pump #2, which is not always visible during the rush hour that this occurred.
Mr. ******* then drove his truck over to our air pumps on the far back side of our building, he parked, a young man gets out of passenger 
side and comes around building into the store. He approaches male employee behind counter, and asks for air tokens. My employee kindly informs the young man of our contract with the air pump company of air tokens being distributed only with fuel purchase, the young man says "Okay", but does not state that he and his father paid at pump. Young man returns to truck and Mr. ******* comes in store visibly upset.
Mr. ******* approaches male employee, uses excessive profanity while raising his voice, and states he had just paid $35.00 at the pump and to give him air tokens now. Before he is even finished speaking, my employee is handing him tokens. A female employee, on her way to break, hears the situation and attempts to apologize to Mr. ******* for any misunderstanding. He, acting very uncivilized says, "I don't even give a a ****" , and storms out of store. Female employee calls me and informs me of the issue, such action is required of her by myself, due to our high standards of customer service. After the phone call, my employee goes outside on her break, but never leaves the front of building to pursue Mr. ******* in any sort of harassing manner. In fact never spoke to Mr. ******* again. Mr. ******* is seen on camera and heard by many,  continuing to use profanity about the matter and calling my female employee , very filthy uncalled for, names. All of the incident is on video and is available upon request. I thank you for your time and consideration of this matter.

Business Response: In response to the rejection of our statement Mr. ******* is in fact incorrect about the video footage. We actually have eight different views of this matter. One shows Mr. ******* at the pumps, which we did not dispute in our last response. Another shows him pull his truck up to the air machine on backside of building and i have three separate cameras watching. And last we have five cameras watching the register area and door he walked in. Our cameras are also viewed live feed to the homes of the store owners and my house and cell phone at all times which is how i was aware there was an issue before my female employee even called me. Mr. ******* story was helped immediately when it was made known he pumped gas. And my employee fortunately had such a brief encounter with this man that it would be impossible for her to even say all that he says in his statement. I have reviewed the matter multiple times on video due to the fact if one of my employees were to be as Mr. ******* states, rude and harassing, it would absoluty not be tolerated. This is just not the case. As far as the air tokens go, how they are distributed is not our preference we simply follow our contract that ****** has with the air token company. Tokens can only be distributed to fuel purchasing customers. Once again, which Mr. ******* is well aware of, he did not pay inside and was at far side of pumps during a rush hour, which the video also shows. He sent his son in that did not mention any fuel purchase. My employee kindly let the young man know of the rules and the young man did not say anything but thank you. At this point, how would my employees know he purchased fuel without it being mentioned? As I also said before, he did not even finish his sentence stating he purchased fuel, and my employee was handing them to him. I am still not seeing where my employees wronged Mr. *******. I do however see how he wronged my female employee be spitting out, in front of many, such horrible, uncalled for, profanities and filthy names. Even if there was a misunderstanding of weather or not he purchased fuel, he was not disrespected in any way.  We chalked Mr. ******* uncontrolled display up to a customer having a bad day and hope he has a better one. Again our video footage is available to the BBB as is the information to contact the Air machine company that can confirm our contract stipulations. We hope all is resolved, if there are any further Questions please feel free to contact myself, ****** ******** Store Manager.

Consumer Response: I am rejecting this response because:  I AM DONE WITH THIS ! I DONT WANT TO BE BOTHERED BY THIS ANY MORE YOUR ATTITUDE ABOUT THIS IS JUST AS BAD AS THE GIRL !SOUNDS LIKE YOU JUST WANT TO FIGHT ABOUT THIS AND WONT GIVE IN ABOUT HER DISRESPECTING ME IN FRONT OF MY SON THIS WILL NEVER BE RESOLVED JUST BECAUSE YOU CANOT SAY YOU ARE SORRY SO I MUST SAY YOU AND YOUR SO CALLED COMPANY SUCKS DO NOT BOTHER ME WITH THIS ANYMORE I WILL LEAVE IT AT THIS :I WILL NEVER GIVE YOU ANYMORE MONEY AND I WILL MAKE SURE I TELL EVERYONE I KNOW NOT TO GO THERE AGAIN!!!!!!! THERE IS A GAS STATION ON EVERY CORNER AND WE ALL CAN LIVE WITHOUT SOME OF THEM!!!!!!!!
