            I am a Notary Public. I work with signing services and title companies. In order for me to receive jobs from these companies, I must have a current background check. The *************************** contracts with Backgrounds Online for this service. Backgrounds Online claim that this service is completed in three to five days. It took 21 days to get my background check. Each time I tried to find out when it would be completed, they added days to the delay claiming it was the fault of Mono County. I finally wrote to the person in Mono County who handles backgrounds. She confirmed that her turn around time is ***** hours. Not only did they lie about the cause of the delay, but I also have been unable to work for 20 days due to their deceptive practice.
