              July 19, 2021, My Mother, age 94 called Class Act Plumbing, Heating, and Air to resolve a water leak she had under the kitchen sink. *********************, Owner, came to the home and deducted the water was coming from a malfunctioning garbage disposal. An authorization to repair was signed by my Mother, however, she was never given the total price or a breakdown of the repair for parts and labor. A flat rate charge of $576.00 with a senior discount for a total of $517.00. **************** told me he uses a flat rate book. Calls to other plumbing reflected a price of $300.00 parts and labor and another for $200. labor, customer provides disposal, which is a $50.00 Wastemaid disposal. ****************************** prices are completely out of line within the industry and it is obvious he is taking advantage of seniors. The invoice showed no breakdown of parts and labor. A call to **************** for an explanation reflected no cooperation on his part and no offer of a partial refund due to his blatant overcharging.

              ******************************* Act Plumbing replaced a water heater for me yesterday at a small rental house I manage in downtown ******** ***** was fair and he was able to squeeze the job into his busy schedule on the same day I called. Both tenants and I were very happy with the result! I've been managing rentals for over 30 years now but due to a recent move I have not yet developed a network of reliable and honest repair people. Now I can honestly say that next time I need a plumber I will call ****. He is now ************** here in ******** I cannot say enough good things about him. He is a real old school "class act". Next time I need a plumber, **** at Class Act Plumbing will be my first call.
